If you turn too far clockwise, rotate it about 30 degrees back (counterclockwise) before moving forward again to find the correct position. Go more slowly next time! Take off the distributor cap and take a peek inside.

Web7 Aug 2024 · Actually, the 300 hp 350 (10.25:1 compression) initial timing with a manual trans (distributor 1111488) was an even lamer 0 degrees, and with an auto (dist 1111489) was 4 degrees advanced at idle, vac advance disconected. Neither was not "all in" until 4700 rpm. For some odd reason, the same engine in the Corvette was not all in until 5100 rpm.
